My Canon AE1 served me well for close to thirty years. (Holy cow, was it that long?) I used to enjoy changing lenses, playing with filters and using manual settings. But when shooting film, every shot had to count... and I was often disappointed with what I got back from the photofinisher.
Digital photography is a whole new ball game. With my cheap little camera, I can bang away to my heart's content, view the pictures right away, and use photoshop to fix up the mess afterwards. I don't always get the sharpness I'd like, but am usually happy with the overall results.
